Lane is a cloud-based project management platform that enables teams to plan, track, and manage work through tasks, boards, timelines, calendars, and real-time messaging. The service is owned and operated by Fronteer, Inc. ("Lane", "we", "us", "our") and is accessible at lane.work and its associated subdomains.
2. Account Registration
To use Lane, you must create an account and provide accurate, complete information. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for any activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
3. Subscription Plans and Billing
Lane offers subscription plans billed on either a per-user or flat-rate team basis. Plan details and pricing are available on our website and are subject to change with reasonable notice. All fees are charged in advance and are non-refundable, except at Fronteer, Inc.'s sole discretion on a case-by-case basis.
New accounts are eligible for a one-month free trial period. No credit card is required to begin a trial. At the end of the trial, an active paid subscription is required to continue using the service.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use Lane only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms. You may not use the platform to transmit harmful, fraudulent, or illegal content, or in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the service. You are responsible for all content and activity within your workspace.
5. Customer Data
You retain all rights, title, and ownership of the content you and your team create, upload, or submit to Lane ("Customer Data"). By using the platform, you grant Lane a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, process, and display your Customer Data solely for the purpose of operating and providing the service.
You may export or delete your Customer Data at any time. Upon account termination, Lane will delete your Customer Data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
6. Intellectual Property
The Lane platform, including its software, design, branding, documentation, and all associated intellectual property, is and remains the exclusive property of Fronteer, Inc. These terms do not grant you any right, title, or interest in the platform beyond the limited right to use the service in accordance with these terms.
7. Usage Limits
Lane offers unlimited storage on all plans, subject to a fair use policy. This means storage is intended for project-related content such as files, images, documents, and attachments created or uploaded as part of normal platform use. It is not intended for use as a general-purpose file hosting or backup service.
All plans are subject to fair use. Lane reserves the right to review accounts that significantly exceed normal usage patterns for storage, API calls, or other platform resources, and to take appropriate action, including contacting you to discuss your usage or restricting access if necessary.
8. Availability and Support
Lane strives to maintain high availability but does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access to the service. Scheduled maintenance, software updates, and circumstances beyond our control may result in temporary downtime. Technical support is available via email for active subscribers.
9. Preview
Lane is currently available as a preview. During this period, the platform is under active development and may include features that are incomplete, experimental, or subject to change without notice. We may introduce, modify, or remove features at any time as the product evolves.
While we make every effort to ensure reliability, beta users may experience occasional bugs, data inconsistencies, or service interruptions beyond what is typical of a production release. By using Lane during the preview, you acknowledge and accept these conditions.
10. Termination
You may cancel your subscription and close your account at any time. Lane may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms or engage in activity that threatens the integrity or security of the platform. Upon termination, your right to access the service ends immediately, but the provisions of these terms that by their nature should survive will continue to apply.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Fronteer, Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, profits, or business opportunities arising out of or related to your use of the service, regardless of the theory of liability.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Fronteer, Inc. and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of your use of the service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
14. Modifications to Terms
Lane reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes by posting the updated terms on this page. Your continued use of the platform following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
15. Governing Law
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the federal courts of the United States.
